Welcome! Whether you are new to the area and looking for a church home, a part-time resident seeking a warm, caring faith community, or on vacation wanting a meaningful worship experience, we are grateful that you are on this site --- searching for more information about Shepherd of the Hills.
For more than forty years, Shepherd of the Hills has been active faith community worshiping and serving our Lord, Jesus Christ. We are located in the mountains of North Georgia, about five miles northeast of Blue Ridge. Our members come from Fannin, Union, and Gilmer Counties in Georgia, and Cherokee County in North Carolina. The congregation is a part of the Evangelical Lutheran Church in America (ELCA), an organization that consists of nearly 10,000 congregations and more than four million members nationwide.
We invite you to join us on Sunday mornings. We gather for Christian education at 9:45 a.m., followed by worship at 10:45 a.m. On the first, third, and fifth Sundays of the month, we share together the sacrament of Holy Communion.
Come and experience the joy of the Lord in our worship. Come and experience the genuine caring of our members. Come and experience the grace of God. You are always welcome!
